Meet Grace

Grace, whose name has been changed to protect her privacy, lives at Presbyterian Manor. She needs our help. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Presbyterian Manor where they enjoyed new friends and hobbies. Grace even gardened a bit.

But today after losing her husband and her health declined, Grace depends on her daughter and the special caregivers at Presbyterian Manor to get through the day. She depends on you too. She is one of 330 residents that no longer can afford care and health services. Her daughter feared she would have to be moved. “But with the help of the Good Samaritan Program, she continues to receive such personalized care. This gives us peace of mind and we are grateful.”

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America’s Spring campaign raises awareness and support for residents benefiting from the Good Samaritan Program.

Your gift will make a difference in a senior’s life, ensuring they are not only living well, but thriving. Will you help a senior today become the “Grace” of tomorrow?

Good Samaritan Program

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America serves more than 2,300 seniors and their families in our 17 communities across Kansas and Missouri. Each year, we provide more than $5.7 million annually in uncompensated care and charitable relief to more than 290 residents in need, as it is our honor and responsibility. With help from donors, 290 PMMA residents received benevolent care support or healthcare financial assistance because their savings, insurance or Medicaid did not fully cover the expenses of their care.

Likewise, some of our longtime residents in assisted living and independent living residences have depleted their personal assets and request subsidized care.
