Not all seniors who need help from caregivers are ready to move into an assisted living community full-time. In fact, when people call us to discuss options for themselves or their loved ones, our first job is to listen and help find the right solution for every individual’s need.
One thing we know for sure is that caring for a loved one is a task you can’t always manage alone. That’s why we offer Adult Day Services—a unique program where seniors at Fort Scott Presbyterian Village, and the surrounding communities can join us for a full day or half-day of community activities and care.
We provide a hot lunch and regularly scheduled activities for our adult day residents. The structured day and the social connections are often all someone needs, whether they need a little bit of help getting through the day or are in the early stages of memory loss.
Our program also serves as an excellent bridge for families who would like their loved ones to be able to try out a senior living community on a part-time basis. Adult day participants get to know us and what we’re about, and it’s a way of easing into the waters for full-time, around-the-clock care.
Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, and sign-ups remain open until each day is filled. Contact us if you are interested in learning more about this program.
