Better Sleep = Better Health

Fort Scott Presbyterian Village to host free event

Ever wondered why you wake up in the morning feeling like you didn’t sleep at all?  Do you wake up frequently during the night? Do you experience leg cramps, teeth grinding, anxiousness, fatigue, forgetfulness or other similar problems?

Fort Scott Presbyterian Village is hosting a free lunch presentation on how sleep can impact your health March 2 at noon.

Leslie Ledford, a certified asthma educator and registered respiratory therapist with Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott, will discuss different symptoms people experience that are often derived from poor sleep quality and some possible solutions based on research and studies.

Ledford draws from more than 20 years of experience working in a pulmonary function lab and an acute hospital setting where she sees patients in all stages of illness.

“Better Sleep = Better Health ” is part of Fort Scott Presbyterian Village’s Just Ask series, a free, ongoing, life-long learning program featuring information from local and regional experts on topics of interest to older adults and their families.

Space is limited and a complimentary lunch will be served. Reservations are required by February 26 by calling the Presbyterian Village business office at 620-223-5550 or email Dcrawford@pmma.org.
