Fort Scott Presbyterian Village annual auction raises $14,000

Fort Scott Presbyterian Village’s annual auction looked a little bit different February 27, but the event raised $14,000 to benefit seniors at the not-for-profit senior living community.

Because of COVID restrictions, the event was conducted off-site and those yummy fried chicken dinners were not available. But that didn’t matter to those who look forward to the annual event and all the treasures offered on the auction.

“We had more than 300 people sign in throughout the day,” said Ginger Nance, executive director. “The community really supported the event in a huge way! People got in and bid really high. It was a fun day, the sun was shining and people were happy and so very supportive.”

Nance said she was touched by the support and by all the many people who thanked the Fort Scott Presbyterian Village team throughout the event for everything they have done all year to care for residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funds raised will be used to support residents at Fort Scott Presbyterian Village and our mission to provide quality senior services guided by Christian values.
